Do you still remember the feeling of excitement you felt when you watched Avatar for the first time? The awe that swept over your body when you were thrown into a magical world full of mystical creatures similar to you and me? Dare we say the envy you felt when you realized you would much rather live in that imaginative society? We definitely do!

Though technology has not advanced to the point where we can traverse a world as beautiful as Avatar‘s vast universe, we, fortunately, have the next best thing — streaming.

Ahead of the upcoming release of the 2009 film’s sequel, Avatar: The Way of the Water, hundreds of thousands of people are re-watching this James Cameron title to not only relive what they first felt years ago but to also remind themselves of the events that transpired in the first installment. We believe you should join the fray, too.

Here’s where you can stream the 2009 film, Avatar.

Is Avatar (2009) on Netflix?

Unfortunately, Netflix does not currently house this film.

We don’t expect the film to be available to stream on this site anytime soon, but perhaps this will change in the future. While you wait to find out, feel free to stream similar titles, such as The Water ManElysium, and The Adam Project.

Is Avatar (2009) on HBO Max?

Sadly, this box office smash hit is not streaming on HBO Max.

It wouldn’t surprise us if HBO Max does decide to acquire the movie in the soon-coming weeks as a means to promote the 2022 release, but for now, we’ll just have to sit tight and wait for any updates.

Where to stream Avatar (2009)

Luckily for everyone, Avatar is currently available to watch on plenty of sites, such as YouTube Movies, Google Play, Vudu, Prime Video, RedBox, and Apple TV+. These sites may require you to spend a few dollars to view, but if you don’t mind this, you’re all set.

We’ll keep you posted if this 2009 film ever comes to Netflix, HBO Max, or any other major streaming site. Until then, stay tuned with Hidden Remote for more Avatar updates, reviews, and more!
