Is streaming service Hulu increasing its prices in 2023?

Hulu is one of the best streaming services out there. There’s no question about it. The company has been putting out so much great content over the years. From The Handmaid’s Tale, Only Murders in the Building, Welcome to Chippendales, and more.

And while that’s the case and we love the streamer, it is known for hiking up its prices every once in a while. Unfortunately, that’s the norm with most all of the streaming services. It’s not a great situation for us subscribers. But if we want to continue to enjoy great content, then this is what we have to do.

Is the streaming service going to increase its prices in the New Year? We’ve got the answer for you below!

Is Hulu increasing its prices in 2023?

As of Dec. 1, 2022, we don’t know for sure if the streamer is planning to increase its prices in 2023. However, a price hike is coming before the end of this year. Beginning Dec. 8, 2022, Hulu + Live TV subscription plans will be increasing and some changes will be applied. We provided a full breakdown below:

  • Hulu (with ads) + Live TV, Disney+ (no ads) and ESPN+ (with ads) is currently $69.99/month. The plan will no longer be available to purchase or switch into if you don’t already have it beginning Dec. 8. Existing subscribers of the plan will be able to keep it, but the price will increase to $74.99/month.
  • Hulu (no ads) + Live TV, Disney+ (no ads) and ESPN+ (with ads) is currently $75.99/month. The price will increase to $82.99/month starting Dec. 8.
  • Hulu (with ads) + Live TV, Disney+ (with ads) and ESPN+ (with ads) is a new tier introduced. It will become available for $69.99/month starting Dec. 8.
  • Add-on: Disney+ (no ads) is currently available for $2.99/month. It will no longer be available to purchase starting Dec. 8. Existing subscribers will be able to keep the add-on.
  • Add-on: Disney+ (with ads) for $2.00/month is a new addition that will be available starting Dec. 8.
