Criminal Minds: Evolution has been doing really well with their episodes, giving us a look into how one network can evolve into different types of criminals. We see how Sicarius has provided his followers with what they need to do the crimes they commit. Unfortunately, he has begun to unravel as seen in episode 3. Was Criminal Minds: Evolution episode 4 the same?

Episode 4 actually does not focus on Sicarius himself as much. We do see him talking to someone who isn’t really there. Is it possible Sicarius learned his methods from someone else? While he is busy cleaning up his mess, the agents try to talk to Tyler Green.

Unfortunately, Green is unwilling to talk, even when Garcia tries to get something out of him. He is angry she gave information to the FBI, although we do wonder what he expected her to do with the maps of the kill kits on her own.

Garcia is able to discover that he was the last person to see his sister, Allison alive. She had gone out with her boyfriend while he babysat his nephew, Blake. After telling Luke what she found, she suggests they use cognitive therapy to help him retrieve his memories.

All Tyler can remember is that her boyfriend got pissed off that he was at the apartment. What exactly did he expect her to do, leave the baby by himself until someone got there? He was able to remember the guy’s name was Lee, but nothing else.

Criminal Minds: Evolution episode 4 finds possible help from Tyler Green

Even though he felt hurt about the experience, he eventually realized he needed to help them get justice for Allison. Tyler just refuses to talk to Garcia.

While they worked on Tyler Green, they also had a new case that possibly tied into Sicarius. Two young men were using surveillance cameras to psychologically torture home owners and make them watch as they killed security guards.

They eventually get information on a cold case home invasion, where the father had refused to give two robbers access to his safe despite them murdering his wife in front of the boys. Now, the boys are after their future to stepmother to make him pay.

At first, the team thought they were connected to Sicarius. But this turned out to be a separate case. It was actually a nice change of pace to have a case that was not involved and showed how even with one case on their plate, the agents still had others to solve at the same time.

Not much was made of the team’s personal lives this week except for JJ and husband, Will. After they share an intimate moment, briefly interrupted by an insurance agent, Will gets some possible bad news. Recent blood results from his doctor showed his platelet levels were higher than they would like. They need to do more tests, but he worries it could be cancer.

It looks like they have another hurdle to cross and hopefully they will get answers sooner than late. Now that Tyler Green is being semi-cooperative, we’re looking forward to seeing how much closer the team gets in the next episode.
