6 new Netflix movies and shows to watch this week (January 2)

Happy New Year to all of you out in the world of Hidden Remote! We had a great 2022, so let’s have another great one in 2023. Like we do each and every week, we’re sharing all the new Netflix movies and shows debuting beginning the week of Jan. 2, 2022.

The new year starts with incredible titles from our favorite streaming platform. We had one heck of a great year with Netflix pumping out some new shows like Wednesday and Lincoln Lawyer. Netflix also gave us some classic movies like Day Shift and The Adam Project. Let’s hope that the streaming titan delivers another incredible year in entertainment.

• Ginny & Georgia, Jan. 5
• The Pale Blue Eye, Jan. 6

Nobody is more excited about the return of Ginny & Georiga than my daughter. She keeps reminding me every day we are inching closer and closer to the second season. Well, my daughter and all fans of the series can rejoice as you can head down the ten-episode binge starting on Thursday.

The other big release is The Pale Blue Eyes which is based on the book by Louis Bayard that is written and directed by Scott Cooper and starring Christian Bale. The film marks the third collab between Bale and Cooper, which follows a detective (Bale) who is hired to investigate a murder. However, as he faces cadets that won’t talk, he reaches out to a young kid to help him solve the case. While reviews have been tepid at best, I am excited to see this one.
