Fire Country episode 10, “Get Your Hopes Up,” was a mess of life-threatening incidents. There was a fire at the station, Charlie was pinned under one of the fire trucks after a fatigued delivery driver ran his truck into the garage bay, the power went out in the middle of Sharon’s dialysis, and Bode’s ex Cara suffered an electric burn that triggered cardiac arrest. Talk about a show’s pots boiling over all at once! And that was only the immediate danger drama at play.
It was also Charlie’s last day as an inmate so thankfully they were able to save him and he can go home to his family. Sharon learned she’s transplant eligible much to her and Vince’s delight. Bode’s self-confidence and worth has improved enough for him to believe he can actually be an asset to Cal Fire and that he deserves his family name. He’s dropping the Donovan and reclaiming Leone.
Jake, however, didn’t receive good news. At the top of the episode, he and Gabriela had been talking about her moving in. But by the end, she was breaking up with him and had admitted she has feelings for Bode even though she doesn’t want to and won’t be pursuing a relationship with him. See what we mean by mess? Well, in episode 11 “Mama Bear,” Sharon’s going to take the spotlight even though it’s not for anything positive considering someone with a grudge is about to go after her. Vince will be stepping into the limelight as he takes center stage to perform a song called “Burn.”
“Mama Bear” premieres Friday, Jan. 20 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
