Ready for a new young adult drama series? If that is your thing then you’ll be happy to know Paramount+ is set to debut School Spirits very soon!

The show is based on the graphic novel written by the two series creators Nate and Maria Nguyen. The two creators of the show and authors of the graphic novel also serve as showrunners alongside executive producer Oliver Goldstick. Nate and Maria both also wrote the pilot episode, titled “My So-Called Death.”

School Spirits release date

The drama is set to premiere Thursday, March 9, 2023 on the streaming service. The first two episodes will be released on premiere day, followed by one new installment weekly on Thursdays. The finale is set for Thursday, April 20, 2023. The Paramount+ series has a total of eight episodes.

School Spirits synopsis

The show centers around the main character, Maddie Nears. The teen girl is murdered at her high school and is now stuck in the afterlife, per the synopsis. Not being able to move on, she begins to investigate her disappearance. As she digs deeper, she discovers more secrets and lies. Who did this to her and why? We’ll have to wait and see!
