That’s because a foster care worker was reported missing, but was later found when he ended his own life, per the synopsis. The pregnant woman is the last person he was seen with. Elsewhere, Sydney is suspicious of Keith and starts to follow him.

The news outlet reports the series started shooting in September 2022, using the outdoors for exterior shots, and moving inside at MELS Studios for interiors. This isn’t very surprising as many American shows and movies use Canada as a filming location. It’s a very popular choice!
