Holy cow, did we fly right on by February like it was nothing? Below, I share a quick list featuring five March movies to watch and two to skip because, if we’re being honest, they’re not always worth it.

Last month we had a solid roster of movies that came out. From a bear on cocaine to a bunch of ladies fascinated by Tom Brady to a man that is an ant, February was a star-studded month for movies. That said, I promised that it was a baby step for what was ahead in March, and I wasn’t lying. We have one of the more packed months in film that we’ve had since pre-pandemic.

New March movies to watch

Creed 3 – In Theaters – March 3

When I tell you this was a 12-round knockout, I mean it. I was very impressed with Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut paired with his brilliant performance opposite Jonathan Majors. The story connected the dots, followed by a fantastic fighting montage and final fight. If you are a fan of the first two, don’t miss this one on the big screen.

Scream 6 – In Theaters – March 10

I did not love Scream 5 as much as everyone else because I thought they made some script choices that weren’t great. However, the idea of moving this story and Ghostface to New York? I can’t wait to see what the creators have up their sleeves.

Inside – In Theaters – March 17

The story follows Nemo, a high-end art thief, who is trapped in a penthouse after the heist doesn’t go as expected. He must find a way to survive without losing his mind. The movie stars Willem Dafoe, and my claustrophobia might go wild when watching, but I can’t wait to see this on the big screen.

John Wick 4 – In Theaters – March 24

A fourth installment of a franchise in which we have seen John Wick kill hundreds, if not thousands of people. My slight hesitation about this movie is that it’s almost three hours long, which could be a good thing or a horrible thing. One thing is for sure, I hope John Wick dies.

Rye Lane – Hulu – March 31

I will share there is a limited release for the film in theaters on March 17, and if you get the chance to see it on the big screen, I highly recommend it. That said, I saw Rye Lane at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, and it was one of the best and most unique romcoms we have seen in recent times. It is a MUST WATCH when it releases.

New March movies to skip

Shazam!: Fury of the Gods – In Theaters – March 17

I say this as a fan of the first film, I want them to erase every film that doesn’t have to do with the next phase of this and let James Gunn right this ship. The trailer looks god-awful, and I’m beginning to think what made the original fun will disappear in the sequel.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves – In Theaters – March 31

I am sorry, but this looks horrendous. I never played the game, which might be why it looks bad. However, if the movie is super campy and doesn’t take itself too seriously, it might be good. But in a weekend full of releases, this was an easy skip or wait till later to see it.

Which are you the most excited to see from the March movie list? Did we miss any?
