There’s no ‘i” in team, and neither in Ted Lasso, the Apple TV+ sports comedy-drama whose season 3 premiere is set for March 15. For those who don’t know, the series follows Ted Lasso, an American college football coach who is hired to coach an English soccer team portrayed by SNL veteran Jason Sudeikis.
With a supporting cast of fellow comics, comedic, and dramatic character actors, the show has quickly become a fan-favorite as viewers of the show have taken to social media to proclaim their praise of the series following the announcement of season 3. For reference, the show’s second season premiered on July 23, 2021 with a 12-episode order. This upcoming season will also have another dozen episodes coming your way!
The show has received critical acclaim for its humor, writing, themes, and uplifting tone. Its first season garnered 20 Primetime Emmy Awards which meant it ultimately became the most nominated first-season comedy in Emmy Award history.
