The Bold and the Beautiful recap (March 15): Bill and Ridge team up to bring Sheila down

Surprise, surprise, Bold fans. Not only did Thorsten Kaye return today on The Bold and the Beautiful but, apparently, his character Ridge Forrester and his in-show nemesis, Bill Spencer, have partnered to take Sheila Carter down.

If you were wondering why Dollar Bill was so insistent that his new lady love open up to him about her deepest darkest secrets, the above alliance is why. He’s been attempting to use Sheila’s emotional attachment to him to get her to confess to murder. That’s why he said “I’ve killed people, too,” and won’t stop telling her that in order to be truly “free” she must unburdened herself so that she can move past the terrible things she’s done.

With how heavy handed Bill was on today’s episode, you’d think Sheila would have begun to catch on that something isn’t quite right about all this pressing and soul bearing. However, because she cheated on Bill with Deacon, she thinks that her man is trying to insinuate that he knows she’s stepped out on him or at least has been up to something inappropriate.

It’s unclear who Bill thinks she’s calling as he and Ridge watch her converse with Deacon on the phone from the secure room they’ve got set-up with multiple screens streaming the camera footage that’s broadcasting live from his living room. But, it’s possible, he’s under the impression that she’s been talking with an accomplice of some kind.

This plot twist also gives reason for why Bill suddenly has conference calls he has to take all the time. He’s always got an excuse nowadays for why he and Sheila can’t do anything romantic together. The reason he gave for why they couldn’t have a nice dinner was because he had to meet a client who just flew in from Europe, obviously, that “client” was Ridge.

I’m interested to see how this plays out considering Bill and Ridge are hoping to catch Sheila out and use whatever she says on camera against her to put her away for good. They even have law enforcement on their side by evidence of the FBI agent monitoring the operation’s cameras. But with Sheila thinking this all has to do with her infidelity, wires are sure to get crossed and when she does find out what Bill has been doing, it’s going to be game on.

What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Elsewhere, Deacon was chatting with Liam and Wyatt at Il Giardino as they filled him in on Hope’s choice to let Thomas work with her again. Liam seems to have calmed down since yesterday’s episode, but he’s still disturbed by her decision as are Deacon and Wyatt who made their displeasure known. However, when the conversation turned to Sheila, Deacon bowed out of their chat with the excuse that he was expecting a phone call.

Though Sheila told him they couldn’t be in contact, he still had his phone out, hoping that she’d call. When she did, he mentioned that she said they couldn’t be in touch, but Sheila bulldozed right through to tell him that she thinks Bill’s on to them. Again, as tense as this misunderstanding is, it’s still kind of funny that her man is looking for her to confess to killing someone while she’s telling the man she’s actually in love with that they may have been found out.

While no one is more desperate for information than Ridge and Bill, Steffy’s surprisingly a close second even though what she wants details on has nothing to do with Sheila. For the past few episodes, she’s been low-key giddy about Liam learning that Hope is going to work with Thomas again despite knowing how Liam feels about it.

In between kissing Finn, feeding him a strawberry, and making it difficult for them both to get ready for work, Steffy was practically bouncing as her curiosity over Liam’s reaction weaved in and out of their conversation. She wondered if maybe it isn’t such a good idea for her brother and Hope to work together since the latter mentioned (in confidence to Paris) that she finds him hot.

Obviously, she can find him objectively attractive without being attracted to him but Steffy doesn’t believe that to be the case. She’s beginning to wonder if Hope’s been suppressing feelings for Thomas which is why she’s been able to forgive him so many times.

Finn entertained the conversation with little push back other than to be a bit skeptical but then their talk moved to Sheila and why Bill would blackmail them for her. They still don’t know but, they want to protect their family and make sense of this whole situation.
