Sir David Jason unites with secret daughter and grandson after making shocking discovery

Imagine going about your life at age 83 and discovering you’ve had a daughter and grandson for years that you just never knew about! As much as this sounds like the plot of a movie, it’s actually Sir David Jason‘s current reality!

If you’re a fan of the actor, you’re likely hearing this week about an exciting discovery and meeting for Jason. The Only Fools and Horses alum posed for a sweet selfie with his newly-discovered 52-year-old daughter, Abi Harris. According to the Mirror, his daughter has a 10-year-old son named Charlie who Jason is also “delighted” to learn about. After Jason found out about his long, lost relatives, he and his wife Lady Gill White and their daughter Sophie were ready to welcome Abi and Charlie into their family.

It’s been confirmed that Abi’s mom is Jennifer Hill, who Jason had a brief relationship with. While he had met Abi in the past, he had no idea she was his daughter!

Here’s what Jason said about meeting his daughter and grandson:

"“To say it was a surprise to find out I had a daughter from years ago is an understatement. However, on settling with the news, I am delighted that I am now able to get to know Abi and so we meet up when we can. My wife, Gill, and daughter, Sophie, have been very supportive and understanding and have embraced Abi and welcomed her and her young son into her now wider family.”"

In case you’re unfamiliar, Jason is a well-known British actor, comedian, and TV presenter. You might recognize him best from his iconic role as Del Boy in the popular sitcom Only Fools and Horses. He also starred in the classic British comedy series The Darling Buds of May and the detective series A Touch of Frost. In addition to his acting career, he’s also a passionate supporter of various charities and has been awarded several honorary degrees and awards, including a knighthood in 2005.

David Jason has a dedicated fanbase who are so happy to hear of this major development in his life!
