English actor Sir David Jason, now aged 82, is best known for his role as Del Boy in the BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses, which ran for many years before officially ending with a Christmas special in 2003. He’s also known for other TV shows such as A Touch of Frost and The Darling Buds of May, and is a multiple-time BAFTA Award winner. Needless to say, he’s a very respected actor and his fanbase is very passionate about him. Though we haven’t seen him in an acting role in some years, he’s continued making appearances and nabbing narrator roles to keep him busy.

On top of that, he’s written a Christmas book in time for the holidays titled The Twelve Dels of Christmas: My Festive Tales from Life and Only Fools, in which he talks about the idea of teleportation. Wouldn’t it be fun if humans could teleport? Well, according to Jason, he doesn’t think we’re far off now!

According to the Mirror, Jason’s book imagines teleportation as he recalls moments of his life. Acting as a memoir of sorts, the actor remembers his time on Only Fools and all the “various festive-related episodes in [his] career.” While talking about teleportation, Jason writes: “Scotty on Star Trek has been beaming people up for years and only occasionally had a problem with the nuts and bolts, so why not here on Earth?”

Jason also added: “It’s the future of personal transport and I’d be willing to bet good money on it, were I a gambling man. Trust me on this. It’s coming soon.”

Only Fools co-star Nicholas Lyndhurst, or lack thereof

. Sadly, he shared that the two aren’t close anymore and admitted he misses his time on the show greatly. “[Lyndhurst is] much more, how can I say, self-contained, perhaps, than he used to be,” Jason revealed. “So, unfortunately, we don’t see each other as much as I’d like to. But that’s how things work out sometimes.”
