If you’re searching for a sweet romcom that is also action-packed (and features some of the best cameos), you need to watch Ghosted on Apple TV+ this weekend. While, admittedly, Ghosted is not the romcom of the year I was hoping it would be, it’s a really fun movie and you can’t beat being able to watch it from the comfort of your home.

Ghosted follows Cole (Chris Evans), a farmer, hopeless romantic, and lover of plants. He’s the whole package, ladies. Well, except for his sense of adventure (or lack thereof), Cole can use a push in that area. And in walks CIA agent Sadie (Ana De Armas) with the necessary push. Okay, maybe more like an aggressive shove, but you get it.

Going in, Cole was not aware of what Sadie does for a living, so you can imagine his surprise. And then there is Sadie, who thought Cole was a cactus (not needy, tough, doesn’t need a lot of love) and it turns out Cole is the type of guy to send you 11 text messages, along with several emojis. You know, the type of guy Drake sings about.

Ghosted is a fun and adventurous love story

Chris Evans and Ana De Armas share incredible chemistry. They have worked together before and have become friends, which you can see on-screen. But that’s my issue. Their chemistry feels more like a friendship than anything else. I can’t help but wonder what the movie would have been liked with Scarlett Johansson as Sadie, who had to drop out of the project due to a scheduling conflict. Johansson and Evans together would have been fireworks! This isn’t to say De Armas isn’t great in the movie, she’s a lot of fun to watch and matches the energy of Sadie perfectly.

And then we have Evans, who you may think is taking on a role who are not used to seeing play, but isn’t Steve Rogers aka Captain America also a hopeless romantic and the perfect gentleman? Evans makes the movie work and is what ties it all together.

Another thing to love, are the many cameos in the movie. We won’t spoil any details, but you are in for a treat! All in all, Ghosted is a cute story where the actors are enjoying themselves. To watch, just be sure you have an Apple TV+ account and grab your favorite snack! As for the story behind the cactus, you’ll have to watch the movie to find out!

Ghosted streams on Apple TV+ at 3 a.m. ET on Friday, April 21.
