It Ends with Us updates: Everything to know about the upcoming drama

For all those book readers out there, another popular story is getting the film adaptation treatment! Bestselling 2015 novel It Ends with Us by author Colleen Hoover is being brought to our screens. The movie is the same name as the book, which has sold over one million copies worldwide. The story is based on the relationship between Hoover’s mother and father.

According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR), the Wayfarer Studios and Sony Pictures produced film sees the author as one of the executive producers on the project. She’s joined by Blake Lively, director Justin Baldoni, Steve Sarowitz, and Andrew Calof. Penning the script is Christy Hall.

At this time, we don’t know when the movie will be released. Though it is in the works and casting announcements are starting to come out. So it’s only a matter of time before we at least have a window to look forward to.

The story is centered around Lily Bloom, who has a “complicated past” but has always known what she wants in life, per THR. It seems like a bit of love triangle will be happening between her, neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid who she meets, and high school love interest Atlas Corrigan who comes back into her life. Though Lily feels like Ryle could be the one, “questions arise about their relationship,” per the news outlet. And Atlas popping up certainly doesn’t help matters.

There’s some familiar faces that we definitely recognize attached to star! Gossip Girl star Blake Lively takes on the role of Lily, Jane the Virgin actor Justin Baldoni is Ryle Kincaid, and 1923‘s Brandon Sklenar is Atlas Corrigan. That’s all we know who’s been cast so far.
