Katherine Jakeways has brought The Buccaneers in an iteration of the unfinished Edith Wharton novel that speaks to this generation’s sensibilities while keeping with the times the series takes place in. It’s the 1870s and five American girls are set to turn London town, and its propriety, on its head. Get ready for a raucous good time!

The first three episodes of the period drama have released and viewers can anticipate new episodes premiering Wednesdays on Apple TV+ until the finale on Dec. 13. Of course, this means we’ll be heading into the winter with this group and curiosity about the cast is going to do more than pique the interest of the cat.

If you’ve already tuned into The Buccaneers, or perhaps only checked out the trailer so far, you’ve noticed a few familiar faces along with some actors whose careers you may want to keep up with after the show. For a one stop shop on what you need to know about the cast, look no further. We’ve got you covered.

Let’s start with the old hats. These are the actors you spotted like that Leonardo DiCaprio meme, beverage in hand, excited to see what they have to offer in the series.

Kristine Frøseth as Nan St. George

Birthday: Sept. 21, 1995 (28 years old)

Frøseth has been on the teen drama scene since the Netflix original movie Sierra Burgess is a Loser, a modernized take on “Cyrano de Bergerac” by Edmond Rostand. She also starred in the streamer’s short lived series, The Society, which was greenlit for a season 2 before it was canceled due to the pandemic. Arguably, her break out role came with Looking for Alaska, where she played the eponymous character Alaska Young. The Hulu miniseries was based on the 2005 novel by John Green.

One look at Boe and the first thing that’s going to pop into your mind is the 2022 film Do Revenge, where the actress played Tara, the newly established Queen Bee after Drea’s (Camila Mendes) fall from grace. But, besides that Netflix original film, Boe is also known for her work in the streamer’s popular (and controversial) series, 13 Reasons Why, based on the YA book of the same name published in 2007. She played Jessica Davis in all four seasons of the teen drama.

Josie Totah as Mabel Elmsworth

Birthday: August 5, 2001 (22 years old)

Totah’s best known now for her role as Lexi Haddad-DeFabrizio on Peacock’s Saved By the Bell revival that ran for two seasons. But she’s also a Disney darling. Her credits for the House of Mouse include Jessie, Sofia the First, Liv and Maddie: Cali Style, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Magic Camp. While Dare We Say, Totah’s podcast with fellow actresses Alycia Pascual-Peña and Yasmine Hamady came to an end in April 2023, you can still check it out wherever you prefer to listen to your podcasts.

Hendricks has been acting since the ’90s and her career has yet to slow down. The actress became a household name thanks to her work on Mad Men as the iconic Joan Holloway. She was nominated for an Emmy six times for the role, snagged two Screen Actors Guild awards as a part of the ensemble, and won two Critics’ Choice Television Awards during her tenure. Hendricks is also known for playing Beth Boland in Good Girls.
