No matter who wins Big Brother 2023, history will be made
By Diana Nosa
After all that’s said and done, Jag Bains, Bowie Jane, and Matt Klotz are the final three contestants of Big Brother season 25.
Though fans have mixed feelings about these three, especially because they believe that some of the previously evicted contestants of this season were more deserving, there’s no denying that each of these competitors is unique in their own way. To such a degree that, no matter who wins, they will make history, paving the way for those like them.
Here’s why each one of the final three of Big Brother season 25 is so impressive!
Warning: This article contains spoilers about who has won the Final HOH competitions thus far.
Matt Klotz could be the first deaf houseguest to win Big Brother US
When Matt first entered the house, fans rallied to this houseguest’s side because they didn’t believe production and the other houseguests were accommodating to his disabilities. For example, if Matt was sitting amongst all his peers who were all speaking at the same time, he wasn’t able to hear and would often be left out of discussions. Or, if there was a competition wherein hearing skills had to be exceptional, Matt was at a disadvantage.
Nevertheless, Matt persevered. Should he win, he will set a precedent for those with disabilities, inspiring people to apply and have the confidence to make it to the end.
Here are the three most impressive aspects of Matt Klotz’s resume:
- Made it to Day 78 without ever being nominated for eviction.
- Has won six competitions, including part one of the three-part HOH competition.
- Won the power to save his closest ally, Jag Bains. This decision paid off exceptionally since Jag is still in the game and used his power to save Matt when need be.
Bowie Jane Ball could be the Aussie to win Big Brother US
At first, Bowie Jane was what we classified as “furniture”, someone who can be seen but never heard. She didn’t really do much in the game nor did she win competitions. But one day, she just woke up and started winning competitions when she needed to most.
If she continues to win to the end, Bowie Jane will be our first winner from Australia. This would enable other international players to apply for the United States installment, which, in turn, means way more diversity!
Here are the things that make Bowie Jane’s Big Brother journey unique:
- Made it to Day 98 without being nominated for eviction. (She could’ve made it further if she won any of the Final HOH competitions.)
- Has won 3 HOH competitions, making her the only female competitor this season to be crowned HOH multiple times.
- The only female competitor of Big Brother season 25 to reach final 3.
Jag Bains could be the first Sikh-Punjabi to win Big Brother US
Jag Bains entered this competition as someone who everyone got along with. That title hasn’t left him, as he manages to always put himself in a place where he can thrive socially no matter who is for or against him. (An impressive feat, indeed!)
If Jag makes it to the end, he will be our first Sikh-Punjabi winner of Big Brother US. This would set a great example for this show, as more and more competitors of all religions and regions will apply.
Arguably, Jag has the most outstanding accomplishments of them all. Here’s why:
- Was evicted unanimously, but returned to the game because of Matt’s power to render an eviction useless. Went on to get to final 3.
- Won HOH back to back, one because of the invisible HOH and the other as a regular HOH win.
- Won the Golden Power of Veto seven times this season, becoming the only houseguest to win Veto seven times in a single season. (He dethroned Big Brother legend Janelle Pierzina!)
- Won 11 competitions thus far, including part two of the three-part final HOH competition.
For the first time in a long time, it’s truly anyone’s win! Who will be crowned the winner of Big Brother season 25? Find out tonight, Nov. 9 at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS!
