On Tuesday, Nov. 14’s episode of The Young and the Restless, Ashley Abbott McCall (Eileen Davidson) strategized with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters). Jack wanted to endorse a smear article about the cover-up at McCall Unlimited that involved a famous singer. However, Ashley did not like that approach because she wanted more time to work on him.

Diane agreed with Ashley, with Jack concerned that his sister remains vulnerable to Tucker. Later, Abby Newman Abbott (Melissa Ordway) provided information about her mother’s estranged husband colluding with Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) to take control of Chancellor-Winters. Like Jack, Abby worries that her mother could be hurt by remaining too close to Tucker.

Connected happenings at the Genoa City Athletic Club include Mamie seeing Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) jousting. After Adam left, Nate told Mamie that he was forced out of Newman Enterprises as part of a trap. Mamie saw what happened as enabling Nate’s return to CW, but Dominic’s character is not sure his cousins will accept his termination explanation.

What happened today on The Young and the Restless? (Nov. 14)

The unfairness of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) game should be something that Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) can recognize. Like the viewers, they should also be able to see that Victor may have telegraphed his intentions when silently selling his share of CW to Mamie recently. Victor previously told Nate that only someone with the Newman name would hold a lead position in the company. So, forcibly facilitating Nate’s return to CW seems intentional.

In another job reversal storyline, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) asked Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) to work with her again. Chloe’s recent opt-out at Marchetti makes sense in light of Sally’s offer. The viewers know that Sally also needs this sidekick because Hendrickson’s character is Adam’s nemesis. His entrance and the shared look show that their romance is reviving.

Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) told Victor he is returning to work. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will confirm that she will not stay if Adam gets a meaningful position. Nick agreed with his sister, but Victor told both children that they would have to accept the role he would give Adam.

With viewers awaiting Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) kidnapping due to last week’s teasers, her comment to Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) about their trip is ominous. Claire contacts her aunt to confirm that their sinister plan is proceeding. The ladies arrive at the lake house in Oregon, and they supposedly learn that Aunt Jordan is at a doctor’s appointment. Erin’s character drugs Nikki’s tea as Thomas Scott’s character begins to faint.
