3 reasons Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour needs to stream on Netflix
By Sandy C.
Earlier this week,Taylor Swift announced that the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie would become available to rent On Demand in the U.S. and Canada starting on Wednesday, Dec. 13 (the star’s birthday). After this release, here are three reasons why the movie should go to Netflix.
Exactly two months after its theatrical debut, The Eras Tour is coming to the small screen! I have long been waiting to stream the movie from home, so you already know what I’ll be doing Dec. 13. Not only will fans be able to enjoy the concert once again, but this release is the “extended version” of The Eras Tour, which will include the songs “Wildest Dreams,” “The Archer,” and “Long Live.” Cancel all plans, your Dec. 13 night is made!
Movies are available on VOD before they go to a streaming platform where fans can watch for free as part of their subscription. That said, the star can sell the movie to streamers after Friday, Jan. 12, TVLine reports. Still that doesn’t mean Swift and her team are not already accepting offers from various platforms. Please have your best and highest offer in by Jan. 12, thanks!
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour needs to stream on Netflix
Since the star’s two other movies, Taylor Swift Reputation Stadium Tour (2018) and Miss Americana (2020), are streaming on Netflix, it only makes sense for The Eras Tour to join them.
Additionally, Swift is not the only artist with a documentary or concert movie on Netflix. If you visit the streamer, you’ll find some of the biggest stars in music. This includes Dolly Parton, Shawn Mendes, Justin Timberlake, Ariana Grande, and Beyonce (among others).
And if you need a third reason, well, the world of streaming has certainly grown over the years. There are so many to select from, each with great content to offer — but Netflix is still the streaming giant and most popular in the game. If The Eras Tour lands on Netflix, it is guaranteed to have more eyes on it than any other streamer.
Keep checking back! As soon as we learn where The Eras Tour will officially stream, we’ll update this post!
