911: Lone Star has a big guest star coming for an upcoming episode that could spell trouble for Carlos!

Caution: This article contains SPOILERS for 911: Lone Star Season 5

The final season of 911: Lone Star has had Carlos (Rafael L. Silva) still mourning the murder of his father, which has Carlos joining the Texas Rangers. He’s been paired with Sam Campbell (Parker Young).

The Monday, Dec. 2 episode will have Carlos meeting Campbell’s wife, Ashley, with TVLine sharing the first pics of actress Peyton List in the role. However, this is not going to be a friendly get-together with a partner’s family, because in the Monday, Nov. 19 episode, Carlos had a line on his father’s killer, which led him to an informant, only for the man to be mortally wounded in a shootout.

The dying crook said he’d only talk to Carlos alone. When he did, he said that Carlos’ father was convinced someone in the Rangers was passing information on confidential informants to criminals. With his dying breath, the guy told Carlos not to trust one Ranger in particular: Sam Campbell.

Carlos was rocked and clearly worrying if the guy was telling the truth. While trusting a criminal over a Texas Ranger who’d proven himself a good partner sounded wrong, a man doesn’t waste his dying breath on a lie. Carlos knows he needs solid proof to go after Campbell and meeting his wife is a good first step.

Who is playing Campbell’s wife in 911: Lone Star?

Not to be confused with the Cobra Kai/School Spirits star of the same name, Peyton List has been a familiar face for TV viewers. She had a breakout role in the CW drama The Tomorrow People and followed it by starring in the short-lived sci-fi cop drama Frequency

Comic book fans will know List by her roles as Lisa Snart/Golden Glider on The Flash and the third Poison Ivy on Gotham. She’s also starred in Star Trek: Picard, Mad Men, and more. That gives her the nice appeal for Campbell’s wife, but co-showrunner Rashad Raisani told TVLine that there may be more to the character than there seems.

“What a get for us, to be honest. I’m so glad she did it. I thought she was terrific.” Raisani added that Ashley’s initial appearance as a “sweet, supportive, amazing woman” becomes “far more nuanced as information about her husband’s activities comes to light.” This leads to the obvious question if she knows more than she’s letting on about her husband’s possible corruption.

This is just one of several plotlines happening as Tommy continues her cancer treatments, TK is focused on adopting Jonah and Owen receives a big job offer. With the countdown until its series finale next January, 911: Lone Star appears ready to amp things up big time.
