It’s another year when it’s hard to tell what the networks will do. CBS has made some big decisions for its 2025–2026 schedule, and we’re taking a look at all the CBS shows canceled so far.
This has not been a good year for the third-party shows. While CBS handed out renewals for a majority of shows, there have been a few shows canceled or offered final season orders in recent weeks. Do you feel like you’ve missed something? We’re taking a look at all the cancellations by the network so far, whether they could be saved, and whether shows still on the bubble could be canceled.
FBIs, SWAT, and more among CBS shows canceled in 2025
It’s not been a good season for crime procedurals. All the CBS shows canceled have been crime dramas so far.

The first cancellation actually came in 2024. Blue Bloods season 14 was announced as the final season, and that it would be split in two parts. There was some hope that the network would realize the mistake when the series had strong ratings in fall 2024, but that didn’t happen. The season 14 finale remained the series finale.
After the nine shows were renewed by CBS, two more shows ended up canceled. This one hurt and was a shock. Both FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted were canceled. While one wasn’t a surprise with news that there would be another potential spin-off coming, we didn’t expect both of them to be canceled at once.
Then came the news that another third-party show wouldn’t make it through another year. SWAT was canceled for the third time, and it looks like this time the cancellation is going to stick.
The Neighborhood renewed for a final season
While there was a renewal, it came with the sad news that it would be the final season, so we want to include it on the list. The Neighborhood will be back for season 8.
This bad news isn’t terrible. One, the series gets time to say goodbye to the characters. Two, there’s a chance of a spin-off series, which could mean seeing the characters again here and there.

What’s still on the bubble at CBS?
There are still three shows on the bubble at CBS. One of those is a fellow crime series, The Equalizer. The series is another third-party show, and there are currently negotiations to get a sixth and final season.
Meanwhile, Poppa’s House and Watson are on the bubble. The two are freshman shows, and the decision to keep them on the bubble is a surprising one. Both are performing well in the linear ratings, especially Watson. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on the CBS cancellations and renewals still to come.
