Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage season 1 episode 6 preview: "A Regular Samaritan"

After a two-week hiatus, Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage will return with "The Regular Samaritan." We missed our favorite young couple and their gentle bickering and making up. Even when situations are challenging, especially the 'controversial' age gap, Georgie and Mandy get past them, continuing to be committed parents and one another's soul mates.

The last time we saw Georgie and Mandy, the McCallisters and Coopers celebrated Thanksgiving. It was especially hard for Georgie, as it was the first holiday without his dad, George Sr. Mandy tries to recruit Mary, Meemaw and her boyfriend, and Missy to join them for dinner, but it was an equally difficult time for them as well. But it was decided that Georgie and the Coopers spend the holiday at George's grave so that he's not forgotten.

I don't know about you, but the plot point made me all kinds of emotions, as the family was joyed to be there, but depressed that the patriarch is no longer with them, in a physical sense.

Due to its success, CBS gave the Chuck Lorre-created comedy a full-season order of 22 episodes. Fans of the Young Sheldon spinoff were ecstatic about the news, as it means we get to see more of Georgie and Mandy, along with their family, engaging life in hilarious but relatable outcomes.

Previewing Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage season 1, episode 6, "The Regular Samaritan"

In "The Regular Samaritan," a new issue might steam up between Georgie and Mandy, and it's a tempestuous one. The newlywed meets a customer named Valerie, who needs tire repair, and leads Georgie to step foot in a church to promote the car service business. This is not a bad idea, as many people are in the congregation, and sometimes, you need faith to keep you going.

However, Mandy fears that there might be something going on between her husband and the customer, who happens to be a blonde woman who drives a flashy car and has a lucrative career as a real estate agent. I could see why she might feel threatened, but she should trust Georgie and that nothing more will arise between him and Valerie, as it's strictly platonic.

You can tune in to the new episode on CBS at 8 PM EST/PST and 7 PM CST. If you can't catch the live airing, you can stream it on Paramount+ the next day.

Thursday, Dec. 12 will then deliver the episode, "An Old Mustang." The comedy will then undergo a hiatus until Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025.
