Grey’s Anatomy season 22 opened directly after the events of the season 21 finale cliffhanger by exploring the fallout of the explosion at Grey Sloan Memorial. It was an intense opening hour that included a shocking death and left several other doctors fighting for their lives, with ripples that would be felt throughout the season as the various characters recovered from the explosion.
