CBS just revealed the Marshals season 2 premiere date in a new teaser trailer that aired during the Big Brother season 28 premiere.

As things stand, Marshals season 2 premieres on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+. CBS is officially kicking off its fall season with a bang. Marshals is one of the biggest broadcast dramas on TV, and it makes sense that it's getting CBS's fall premiere week started.

New episodes of Marshals season 2 are expected to air weekly on Sunday nights on CBS and Paramount+.

Honestly, Sunday, Oct. 4, is a little bit earlier than we were expecting to see Luke Grimes back as Kayce Dutton in the Yellowstone spinoff. Last year, CBS's fall premiere week started in the middle of the month, but you won't see us complaining about seeing the fall TV season for CBS's scripted shows start a little bit earlier.

The new Marshals season 2 teaser was also released on the CBS YouTube channel, but for some reason, the date has been omitted from the 30-second teaser, but you get to see all the new action with Kayce and the gang.

Logan Marshall-Green, Ash Santos, Arielle Kebbel, Mo Brings Plenty, Gil Birmingham, Tatanka Means, Brett Cullen, Brecken Merrill, Riley Green, Ellyn Jameson, and Morgan Lindholm round out the rest of the cast of Spencer Hudnut's series.

This will also be the first time Marshals is part of the fall lineup at CBS. Remember, the Yellowstone spinoff, which was a ratings sensation for the network, didn't premiere until March 1, 2026. The first season ran for 13 episodes this spring before the season 1 finale on May 24.

We learned around that time that Marshals season 2 would be part of CBS's fall lineup. That cut down the wait between seasons considerably. Can you imagine waiting until January or March 2027 to watch Marshals season 2? Luckily, we don't have to.

On top of that, the fall premiere also gives Marshals season 2 the opportunity for an expanded season. So far, CBS has not confirmed the full episode count yet, but Comic Book Resources reports the second season will consist of 18-20 episodes. That's obviously good news.

Marshals isn't the only Yellowstone spinoff on a successful run, either! Dutton Ranch, which just ended its first season on Paramount+, is a ratings success, too.

Production on Marshals season 2 started last month in Utah, according to reports. Hopefully, everything is off to a great start, and there's nothing that gets in the way of another successful season on CBS.

We'll continue to share more news about Marshals season 2 as we find out. For now, expect to see the new season premiere on Sunday, Oct. 4, at 8 p.m. on CBS and Paramount+.
