FBI: Most Wanted season 5 spoilers: Nina's first case with the Fugitive Task Force is explosive
When the FBI franchise returns on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at least one character will have moved from one of the shows to another. Agent Nina Chase (Shantel VanSanten) will be moving from the original FBI to FBI: Most Wanted and from the get-go, her first case will be a doozy.
At the end of FBI’s fifth season, Nina had given birth to a son with Agent Stuart Scola (John Boyd), who they named Douglas. It was already clear that they would be juggling work and raising a baby, but now it looks like things will look even more different than originally planned.
Nina’s move to FBI: Most Wanted came after the exit of cast member Alexa Davalos, who played Special Agent Kristin Gaines. While it is unclear how her exit will be discussed, we do know that it is likely Nina Chase will be taking her place.
So what will happen when she joins the team? According to a sneak peek, it’s going to be explosive.

In the clip, Nina is on the phone with Dylan McDermott’s Remy Scott when a hacking occurs that appears connected to a bomb but there aren’t many clues about what is happening when the show returns.
According to the synopsis for the episode, “Above & Beyond,” Nina will join the team as they go to Virginia to investigate after “a mysterious deal goes south, leaving behind multiple bodies.”
In addition to VanSanten and McDermott, FBI: Most Wanted also stars Roxy Sternberg as Special Agent Sheryll Barnes, Edwin Hodge as Ray Canon, and Keisha Castle-Hughes as Special Agent Hana Gibson.
The episode will premiere at 10/9c on CBS. You can catch up on previous episodes of the series on Paramount+. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote for more FBI franchise news and coverage!
