Ghosts fans get some great news about the future of the series
Rest assured Ghosts fans. The spirits are coming back for another season.
There are few things certain when it comes to TV, and we try not to get our hopes up too much when it comes to renewals. While we may think shows are going to be renewed, the networks can sometimes surprise us. So, we’re happy when there is confirmation.
TVLine confirms that Ghosts is renewed for a fourth season. It will also be part of the fall lineup.
This won’t be too surprising when you look at the live ratings. The demo matches its lead-in Young Sheldon and it is just a tick behind The Big Bang Theory spin-off in the total audience, putting it in first and second overall for comedy respectively.
The importance of an early Ghosts renewal
Renewing the show already may be a little surprising. After all, we’re just a few episodes into the new season of all shows this year. That is due to the strike action in the summer, and we may have seen an even earlier renewal had the strikes not happened.
This is a show that needs an early renewal. It films in Montreal, and the winters are harsh at times. Most of the cast members can’t add on layers when filming due to their characters remaining in the clothes they died in, which can make it difficult to film. By renewing early, filming can happen throughout the late spring and summer instead of starting up in the middle of summer like other shows.
Who will return for Ghosts Season 4?
As of right now, we don’t have confirmation as to who will and won’t come back for the season. We don’t know if there’s going to be a big cliffhanger like the third season where a character was “sucked off.”
We had thought that Flower had been “sucked off,” but we learned in the Halloween episode that that may not have been the case after all. So, what’s going? We’ll have to keep watching to find out, but it is possible that we could have all ghosts back in the house.
Ghosts is available to stream on Paramount+. Tune in for Season 3 on Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
