Gina Torres overspends on make-up in Super Bowl ad that reunites Suits cast members as Judge Judy presides
Suits fans are getting a blast out of a new Super Bowl ad that has several cast members arguing in front of Judge Judy!
The show has been enjoying a new surge in popularity. The long-running USA Network drama ended its nine season run in 2019. However, when it was released on Netflix in the summer of 2023, the ratings skyrocketed and pushed talk of a revival.
That's paid off as NBC has ordered a pilot of a new L.A.-based spin-off. That promises more fun for the legal team, but it looks like several cast members are joining the rush of attention by reuniting for a new Super Bowl ad for e.l.f. Cosmetics. And they're not the only familiar faces showing up.

Previewed via Entertainment Weekly, the ad is titled "Judge Beauty" and features Judge Judy Sheindlin, known for her long-running reality show Judge Judy and later the Amazon Freevee series Judy Justice. Here, she's overseeing a trial of a man claiming his boss is spending way too much on makeup.
The boss is Gina Torres, whose suit is just like that of her character, sharp attorney Jessica Pearson. The plaintiff is Rick Hoffman, channeling his character of Louis Litt while Sarah Rafferty is seen typing just like assistant Donna as the court stenographer.
As the argument rages, the camera cuts to the jury box, which includes Ronald Gladden from the Amazon Freevee hit Jury Duty along with RuPaul's Drag Race alum Heidi N Closet, actor and social media star Benito Skinner (as his recurring character, Kooper the Gen Z intern), and Judy Justice's resident law clerk Sarah Rose.
Singer Meghan Trainor is shown using some of the makeup, while former NFL linebacker and Emmy-winning television host Emmanuel Acho is the court bailiff.
The ad is directed by Silicon Valley star Zach Woods. The full commercial will air during the Super Bowl on Sunday, yet it's a fun showcase for the Suits actors and another reason fans are hopeful for this new revival.
Speaking of which, when talking to People Magazine about the ad, Rafferty and Torres were naturally asked if there was a chance they might appear in the new spin-off.
Torres simply said, “I have no information on that.” Rafferty added, “I mean, if they need Donna and I'm assuming if they need — I'm just gonna speak for my friends here — Jessica or Lewis, we'll all put on our high heels and we'll march on up to Vancouver!”
At least fans can watch the trio back together in this fun ad as a reminder of what a hot show Suits was.
Suits seasons 1-8 are streaming on Netflix. Seasons 1-9 are available on Peacock.
