Kate Winslet is back on HBO! Here's when to catch new episodes of The Regime

For three decades, Kate Winslet has been one of the most respected and popular actresses of her generation. This is a woman who easily swaps between mega-blockbusters like Titanic and smaller films such as Steve Jobs. It’s led to great success with an Oscar, a Grammy, two Emmys, five BAFTAs and more. 

Winslet is usually a movie actress but has made some plays on TV. That includes the HBO series Mildred Pierce and Mare of Easttown, both of which earned Winslet Emmy Awards. So it makes sense she’s back on HBO with the new dark comedy The Regime. 

Winslet plays Elena Vernham, the once-noble Chancellor of an unnamed fictional Central European country. As she navigates the politics of her land, Elena is soon swayed by advisor Herbert (Matthias Schoenaerts) to become an autocrat and faces a revolution from her people. Through it all, she has to deal with how this rule has changed her.

The show looks to pile on some political satire and drama, with Winslet’s performance as the centerpiece. So when can you see new episodes?

The Regime release schedule

Per Esquire, the six-episode limited series will premiere on HBO at 9 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 3, with the episodes also released on MAX. Each new episode will air on Sunday, with the finale on April 7.

With only six episodes, the show has a short run but Winslet’s star power alone makes it a big series and likely HBO’s next “must watch” prestige event. 

The Regime premieres Sunday March 3 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and MAX.
