The tangled web that Poppy has weaved is starting to unravel on The Bold and the Beautiful. In Friday, Aug. 2's episode, she and her daughter Luna went back to their apartment to pick up a few items to take back to the Spencer estate. While in search of her missing tablet, Luna came across a bag shoved behind their couch. Lo and behold it was the backpack that belonged to Tom Starr.

The last time we saw it was in Hollis' possession at Il Giardino. It was during the night the power went out. Someone paid the restaurant a visit after hours, someone he knew well enough to want to discuss what he'd found in the bag. The following morning the backpack was gone and Hollis was found dead by Sheila.

It's suspicious that it came back into play at Poppy and Luna's apartment, but when the older Nozawa saw her daughter with it, she seemingly had no idea what it was. Or, at least that's the impression she wanted to give Luna. It was strange that Poppy was questioning her about what she was doing since she had no reason to be so firm about wanting an answer but the moment began to spiral away from her anyway due to Luna freaking out about what she found.

Before her mom had come back into the living room, Luna had been rummaging through the bag's pockets. It wasn't hers and she didn't call out to Poppy to inquire about it, she simply began seeing what was in it. That's how she found the stack of letters that her mom had received from Tom and sent back. She opened two of them and read that he believed he was her father and that he felt she deserved to know.

Luna confronted Poppy about it, and she called Tom a stalker. She explained that she'd returned all of his letters but Luna wasn't in a frame of mind to talk through what she found. Her thoughts were swirling due to the accusations Katie had lodged against her mother in more than one conversation. Luna had defended her but this discovery has her questioning what she knows about Tom and Hollis' deaths as well as Poppy's involvement.

Her hysterics likely aren't based on whether she truly believes her mom is capable of murder but rather the circumstances they find themselves in. I'd be pretty surprised if Poppy does admit to some kind of foul play and expects Luna to go along with it. In the preview for the week of Aug. 5, Poppy does tell her daughter that their life with Bill is the future and what came before is the past, but it's doubtful that she's trying to coerce her daughter into being silent.

Bill already knows about Tom so they wouldn't be keeping a secret from him. The conversation between the Nozawas could stem from Luna being hung up on the years she spent asking who her father could be and her mother knowing that the two options were Tom Starr or Bill Spencer. What, or rather who, Poppy should be worried about is Katie.

With Will Spencer back in town, and Crew Morrow teasing that his character believes whatever his mother does, she'll have two people who think that she's up to no good. If someone planted that bag in her apartment, it does mean that she's got a target on her back. Whether that could be someone with a vendetta or who wants to frame her for their crimes is unknown, but Poppy could be in a world of trouble down the road if she continues to hide her past.
