Luna won't be able to keep Poppy's secret on Bold and the Beautiful
By Sabrina Reed
Spoilers ahead for The Bold and the Beautiful's run of episode during the week of Aug. 5
Luna's world shifting discovery of Tom's bookbag in the apartment she shares with her mother, Poppy, has opened a can of worms on The Bold and the Beautiful. On Monday, Aug. 5's episode, she continued her line of questioning against her mom. With fear laced through her voice, Luna repeatedly asked if Poppy murdered Tom.
Though this may just be the soap being over the top, it is interesting that Luna finds it plausible that her mother would murder someone to hold onto the life they're making with Bill. She'd posited that Poppy committed the crime so that it wouldn't get out that the billionaire may not be her father. That's quite the leap to be making considering Luna has held this entire time that her mom is a free-spirit who wouldn't harm anyone purposefully, so what's the truth?
Perhaps we may get better understanding of Luna's position later this week. She's set to share her fears with RJ on Thursday, Aug. 8 according to the spoilers. While it's perfectly reasonable for Luna to open up to her boyfriend about what she found out, it's likely going to be the catalyst for more issues. Poppy did affirm that Bill is Luna's dad but she insisted that she needed to stay silent about Tom's bag and the fact that the deceased man believed he was her father.
It doesn't look like Luna is going to do that and it could have consequences. What the young Nozawa hasn't taken into consideration is that Katie has directly been asking RJ about Poppy. He was regretful about disclosing information about Poppy's "mints" but the likelihood of him sitting on what might be the smoking gun of a murder seems low, even if it's Luna that's asking him to do so.
As Benjamin Franklin once said, "Three can keep a secret if two of them are dead," so this genie is definitely not staying in the bottle. Now that's not to say that what Katie discovers on Friday, Aug. 12 is going to come from RJ's conversation with his girlfriend. It's possible he won't say anything to his aunt, though it's equally possible that he discloses something to his cousin, Will, who is back in town.
Crew Morrow already teased that Will believes whatever Katie does regarding Poppy and Luna, so if the cousins have a conversation this week about what's been happening, it wouldn't be surprising that he immediately shares what he heard with his mother.
I don't think Poppy committed these murders and, for now, Tom's bag is being treated as if it was planted at the apartment. So somebody could be framing her, and Luna not keeping her mother's secret could be the very thing they need to get off scot-free.
