Masters of the Air cast: Meet the men of Apple TV+'s new war drama

Austin Butler, Callum Turner, and Barry Keoghan have had a good couple of years recently with their individual projects, and we're so excited to see the trio as part of the cast list in Masters of the Air on Apple TV+! We're sure that this series is going to be a hit for the actors as well. The production premieres Friday, Jan. 26 with the first two episodes on the streamer. That will be followed by one new installment weekly until March 15.

The nine-episode war drama takes place during World War II, centered around the men of the 100th Bomb Group of the U.S. Army Air Forces, per the synopsis. They were charged with conducting "perilous bombing raids over Nazi Germany." The group faced many challenges including cold temperatures, "lack of oxygen," and having to fight 25,000 feet in the air. The show is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman.

Callum Turner as Major John Egan

Turner takes on the role of Major John Egan. The real-life Major was also an original member of the 100th Bomb Group as the Operations Officer, per the American Air Museum. He was eventually captured and spent the rest of the war as a POW. He passed away in 1945 following a heart attack.
