We're three months away from FBI: International's season 4 premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS and the network is beginning to drum up excitement for the show's return. The season 3 finale gave us closer regarding Scott Forrester's exit from the Fly Team. Though he is on the run with his mother, Angela, and potentially hiding out in Alaska, they at least know that he's alive. This has left the door open for Luke Kleintank to make a return in a guest role one day if he's interested.

Now eyes have turned to just who will replace him to lead the Fly Team. The tail end of the third season introduced viewers to Brian Lange, played by Chicago Med vet Colin Donnell. The special agent helped the team during the search for Scott and Angela. There'd been speculation that he would become the team lead but it looks like that's not in the cards. The powers that be have turned to another One Chicago vet to fill that role.

When Chicago P.D.'s Jesse Lee Soffer was announced as joining the cast, the character he's playing had been kept under wraps. What was known was that he wouldn't be stepping back in Jay Halstead's shoes. While One Chicago and the FBI shows share a universe, that's not going to factor into Soffer's addition to FBI: International.

TVLine reports the actor is set to play Wesley "Wes" Mitchell, the new Supervisory Special Agent with the Fly Team. He's described as "charming and rakish," so we can expect Wes to be a dashing, debonair man with style who has a way with women. He'll also have a strong sense of justice that leads him to take up unconventional methods to accomplish his missions. Endowed with "impeccable instincts" and a determined drive, Wes will be a great addition to the team.

Aside from the update on Soffer's character not much is known about what fans can expect from the fourth season. Obviously, there will be an adjustment to Wes' inclusion on the team and how he leads them on missions. There's yet to be indication that there will be tension so this could go one of two ways. Either FBI: International will show us Wes' first day on the job so that we can get the team's initial reactions or we'll be dropped back into their story after Wes has already been introduced and we'll be catching up on what's happened between the season 3 finale and the season 4 premiere.
