NCIS has a mole and more revealed in the thrilling season 22 trailer
NCIS has just unveiled the trailer for Season 22 and it looks to be a wildly dramatic one that has the team hunting one of their own! See a peek here!
Season 21 ended with some major turns for the series. Knight was offered a big promotion in San Diego, where she headed up a REACT team of her own. Jimmy encouraged her to go for it, which seemed to end their relationship. Knight and Parker were then locked in a ship where a wounded Parker hallucinated a girl named Lily. After being rescued, Knight told Vance she was taking the job.
So, as season 22 opens a few months later, Knight is still in San Diego, Torres is on an undercover job, and McGee is shooting to get a promotion for a supervisor job. That leaves Parker mostly on his own and still musing on who “Lily” was.
But it looks like it’s going to take a big case to bring the team back together only for it to threaten to tear them apart! Here’s a look at the trailer!
The team try to figure out who the mole is on NCIS
The trailer has Parker meeting Knight to tell her there’s a mole inside of NCIS that they have to hunt down. “We gotta stop the mole without starting a war.” He tells Vance, "Discretion is my middle name," with Vance speaking for viewers with a dubious grunt.
There’s Jimmy and Kasie telling Parker they have a “plan” that “involves some favors, a little light treason, but I think you’ll like it.” Jessica is shown telling Parker to trust her, only for him to reply, “Not this time.”
More striking is Torres saying, “If you want me to kill one of my own, I need a good reason.” Hopefully, this is just him on his undercover job, but it’s also a troubling sign that one of the team members may be targeted. Indeed, when Parker tries to free a bound Torres, he assures him he's a prisoner "by choice."
There’s a lot more action and thrills with the mystery of hunting the mole down. We also get the tagline “The Knight’s return,” confirming Jessica is coming back full-time. It all ends with Vance less than thrilled with Parker assuring him it’s all under control. The song “Stand Up” is a great touch for the thrills.
So it looks like NCIS season 22 is hitting the ground running with more action and excitement than usual to make fans happy for its return.
NCIS returns Monday, October 14 at 8/7c on CBS.
