Tonight, NCIS: Hawaii signs off the air for good with what will now be its series finale thanks to CBS’s decision not to bring the show back for another season. It’s a decision that has left fans of CBS’s top franchise in a state of shock and anger ever since the network announced it would not be bringing NCIS: Hawaii back.

Ever since CBS made the decision to cancel NCIS: Hawaii, fans have been rallying behind the show in hopes of showing to CBS that they’re not ready to say goodbye to the show. Fans have put together a Save Our Show petition and even bought a billboard in Times Square, they’ve also remained incredibly vocal about their disapproval of the cancellation!

NCIS: Hawaii fans have put CBS on blast via social media for the show’s cancellation

Needless to say, fans are not happy with CBS and they’re not backing down from this fight. The fans behind the beloved show have been vocally calling CBS out across social media on posts designed to share updates on its schedule, making it quite clear that they’re not going to forgive CBS anytime soon for the cancellation of NCIS: Hawaii.

The latest wave of support from fans came via the comments in an Instagram post promoting the series finale of NCIS: Hawaii, a post that has given fans plenty of reason to hit back at CBS and call the network out for its questionable decision. Fans have flooded the comments to share their frustrations over the show’s cancellation and did not mince words when blasting the network. Here are just a few of the many comments from frustrated fans:

“How dare you cancel NCIS Hawaii! It’s such a fantastic show with great writing, a wonderful cast, and exciting stories to tell. There are no words to express how disappointed I am in CBS for canceling this show.”

“The cast, the crew, and the fans deserve better.”

“This cast and crew, this amazing Ohana didn't deserve this. They deserved better. We had representation with this show. AAPI and LGBTQIA representation and so much more. CBS DO BETTER!! Do right by this Ohana.”

“I watched 2 episodes of Sydney and stopped. I watched 1 episode of Hawaii and was hooked. If I want to watch Gibbs, I’ll watch reruns. This an insult to the 10+ million weekly fans.”

Sadly, NCIS: Hawaii won't be shopped around

While fans are doing everything they can to fight for NCIS: Hawaii, sadly there are no plans to shop the show around which means fans’ only hope is that CBS changes its mind and brings the show back for a fourth season. You see, NCIS: Hawaii is a CBS Studios production and there is no way CBS is going to shop the show around to another network and allow a competitor to have the rights to an NCIS franchise show.

There was hope that the show could move to Paramount+, but CBS has made it clear that is not an option and the show will not be making the move to Paramount+ due in part to the fact that it will already have one NCIS original series with the Tony and Ziva spinoff.

It’s quite unfortunate that CBS is holding all the cards as NCIS: Hawaii, as well as fellow CBS originals So Help Me Todd and CSI: Vegas, deserve the chance to continue on another network. Instead, their time on air is coming to an end thanks to CBS’s decision to cancel the shows.
