It’s purge time at Paramount+ as Rugrats and a whopping ten other kids shows are suddenly gone from the streamer! Find out which ones are now no longer available!

One of the more troubling aspects of the rise of streaming services has been the tendency of some streamers to completely cut some past content. Disney+ and Hulu are the bigger guilty parties, but Max and Paramount+ are much the same. The issue is always money, as by dropping these shows, the streamer doesn’t have to pay royalties or other money to the studios and creators.

This has been a major bone of contention with customers, particularly given how streamers are raising prices while deleting past content. Several of the creators involved with said shows are also complaining about how fans can’t find them even in reruns and give them some new life. Just see how Netflix has succeeded in giving a long-gone show like Suits new attention to become more popular than ever.

Paramount+ is among these streamers cutting content, including Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies and several international series. There was also a culling of various kid shows, including several from Nickelodeon.

Now, a new culling has hit, with nearly a dozen shows being taken from the streamer in one fell swoop. Just what are they?

Which shows are now gone from Paramount+?

The big gun of those gone is Rugrats, a new animated reboot of the beloved 1990s animated series that reimagines the characters in middle school. The show hasn’t been officially canceled, but its total removal from the streamer is not a good sign. The other cuts include a few shows that recently ended and others around for a few years, all either Paramount+ originals or on Nickelodeon:

  • Are You Afraid of the Dark? (2019-2022)
  •  Big Nate (2022-23)
  • Blue’s Clues & You! (2019-)
  • It’s Pony (2020-2022)
  •  Middlemost Post (2021-2022)
  •  Ollie’s Pack (2020)
  •  Ryan’s Mystery Playdate (2019-2023)
  •  Santiago of the Seas (2020)
  • That Girl Lay Lay (2021-2024)

It’s unsure where these series may be able to land as a few ones cut from Paramount+ have been able to find homes on Netflix or other spots. However, others are held up thanks to various rights issues with the studios and so unsure if they can ever get another streaming home.

It’s a sad reminder of the risks of sticking to streaming and why physical media releases still matter as another wave of Paramount+ cuts is troubling.
