Ryan Gosling is one of Hollywood's most iconic and beloved actors. Gosling has truly done it all over his career. He's delivered some of the best dramatic performances we've seen, showed off his comedic abilities in some of the best comedies of the last few decades, and reminded us he truly can do it all by flexing his musical abilities with some showstopping musical numbers in hits including 2023's biggest movie of the year: Barbie.

Gosling's scene-stealing turn as Ken in 2023's breakout hit was one of the highlights of cinema in 2023 and has earned Gosling praise from both critics and audiences alike. The performance has landed him a place at the table once again this awards season with Gosling emerging as a favorite among many to take home a few awards for his performance in Barbie.

Among the many awards Gosling is up for this year is a Golden Globe for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture. Many fans are hoping to see Gosling take home the Golden Globe for his role in Barbie, but history has not been the kindest to Gosling when it comes to success at the Golden Globes.

While Ryan Gosling has been nominated for six Golden Globes over the years, he's only picked up one win at the Globes. That's right, Gosling has only one won Golden Globe across his career with his first and only win coming in 2017 when he won the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy Golden Globe for his work in La La Land.

La La Land was Gosling's fifth nomination and came after a five-year drought at the event, having not been nominated at the Globes since 2012 where he was a double nominee. That year, Gosling was up for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama for The Ides of March as well as for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical for Crazy, Stupid, Love.

Gosling's first Golden Globe nomination came back in 2008 when his performance in Lars and the Real Girl landed him a nomination in the year's Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical race. Three years later, he landed his second nomination with a nomination for Blue Valentine in 2011 in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama race.
