The Bold and the Beautiful is setting Bill and Poppy up for a shock the week of July 29 but their unexpected guest doesn't look to be tied to the murder mystery the soap has going.

Based on the preview, it looks like Poppy might be finally disclosing to Bill who Tom truly was to her. This was likely prompted by Katie once again dropping by unannounced on Friday, July 26's episode and interrogating her. After much searching online, Katie found a concert flyer from the music festival that Poppy and Bill attended 20 odd years ago. To her that was the smoking gun she needed.

Making a wild leap, though we know it to be true, Katie saw herself as putting the pieces together. Despite there being plenty of other acts at the festival, she deduced that Poppy must have somehow been involved with Tom which would explain why he wound up dead by drug overdose at Il Giardino. The implication being that Poppy killed Tom to keep it quiet that he's Luna's real biological father though that's yet to be confirmed on the soap and likely isn't true unless Bill and Li faked the paternity test results.

Katie, of course, didn't have proof of the allegations she was lodging at Poppy but the other woman's squirming when being asked point blank about the nature of her relationship with Tom may have been tell enough for her. Otherwise, why would Poppy be telling Bill now when she reasonably could have sat on the truth like she has been for years? She may be trying to get ahead of whatever story Katie's planning to spin that'll paint her in a bad light.

In any case, Poppy is going to be crying as she speaks to Bill and that must lead to some kind of romantic moment between the two of them because the preview cuts to the couple having gone up to their bedroom. But, while they're in the middle of kissing and clearly heading toward a love scene, they're interrupted and it's startling enough for Poppy to let out a dramatic scream.

The only shot we see of the intruder is of their shoe as it crosses the threshold of the doorway. The way the quick clip plays, I think we're meant to believe that perhaps the Il Giardino killer has broken into the Spencer Mansion but that's obviously not who it is. The intruder is most likely Will Spencer. We've known since June that he'd be making his return SORAS'd, with Crew Morrow's debut in the role set for Thursday, Aug. 1.

It's unfortunate that Poppy's first introduction to Will is going to be while she and Bill are in a state of undress. Katie already doesn't see it for her and thinks she may have murdered Tom. Her son walking in on Poppy and Bill isn't going to go over well at all.
