Steffy got her wish on The Bold and the Beautiful, Sheila has died. However, because it was at the Forrester's own hands, be prepared for her having to reap the repercussions not just the benefits of the infamous woman out of her life.
In an interview with TVInsider, actress Jacqueline MacInnes Wood teased what's next for Steffy in the aftermath of Sheila's death (Kimberlin Brown's exit has been confirmed). As expected, it's not going to be all sunshine and rainbows.
"She’s in shock for a while. Even though she has to protect herself, protect her family, to still kill a human being is something that is so hard to wrap your head around. It’s very raw. It’s an emotional roller coaster for Steffy."
That roller-coaster is going to include the police. The spoilers revealed that Deputy Chief Baker will make an appearance on the soap the week of Feb. 26. Considering paramedics will be called to the scene to declare Sheila's time of death, it's understandable that the police will be involved. Now whether a full on investigation will be launched is anyone's guess.
Sheila did break in Steffy's home with the intent to kill her. Even if charges are brought up against Steffy, she'd argue self-defense. But Steffy did say that she wanted her nemesis dead. So while she may get to skate free of being held criminally responsible for Sheila's demise, she's still going to take heat from those that know her, particularly Finn.
The spoilers included information on Finn's perspective on the situation and it's not in Steffy's favor. While Ridge and Thomas will be supporting her, he won't be. Finn is going to be torn up by what happened to his birth mother. With Finn unable to support his wife, this could leave the door open for Hope to get closer to him since she'll be comforting him, and for Liam to be the one who is there for Steffy.
Wood weighed in on the latter possibility in the TVInsider interview:
"You know, for years I said no [to a Liam and Steffy reunion]. But I don’t know. I don’t want that to happen, but Finn’s not making Steffy feel safe right now."
We can expect the vast majority of Steffy's loved ones to be on her side but if Finn's not, that is likely to send her spiraling during an already rough time. Wood said, "I really hope that Finn is there for Steffy. He really needs to understand the weight of this." But considering Sheila is his birth mother, he really can't be blamed for struggling with the knowledge that his wife killed her.
