With the cat out of the bag about Hope kissing Finn, Steffy is making some decisions and she's making them fast. On Wednesday, Aug. 21's episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, she told Finn that she needs some time away. Yes, this does mean that she's planning to run from the situation he put them in by not listening to her about leaving Hope alone.

Steffy barely made a plan. She simply told Finn that he'll be taking care of Hayes while Liam looks after Kelly. With Taylor back in town, she also said that her mother would be around to help. But she didn't want Finn to try to reach out to her while she's gone, she informed him that she'll get in touch with him. It's unclear if Steffy already packed her things but she looked determined to leave Finn for now to clear her head.

From there, she charged over to Forrester Creations to give Hope a piece of her mind. After rightfully laying into her rival, Steffy told her to stay away from Finn. But there's a flaw in Steffy's plan. If she's not going to be around and has no idea what's happening in Los Angeles how exactly would she know Hope isn't sneaking around to see her man?

There's also the matter of Taylor. Steffy's mom just arrived and the soap means to tell us that she's set to leave so she can ruminate over the revelation that Hope kissed her husband? I'm skeptical. Especially since, in an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Rebecca Budig shared why Taylor came home.

"[Taylor] really feels like she’s not spent enough time with Steffy and with her grandkids. She really wants to spend time with them. I think she’s getting older and realizes that she wants to be around the people that she loves and to spend more quality time with them."

While Taylor is a runner herself, I doubt that's a quality that she wants to encourage in her daughter. It's understandable that Steffy wants time but she can't keep leaving Finn. They're always having the same arguments about his tendency to disregard her warnings when it comes to his birth mother Sheila Carter and now Hope. There's going to have to come a point where she leaves and decides to get a divorce otherwise this will start to become needlessly repetitive. But that's a story concern for another time.

At the moment, it doesn't seem like there's room for Steffy to be written out of the story. Not with Taylor barely on the scene. Plus, there is the Friday spoiler to consider. Stop reading here if you'd like to be fresh for the episode.

According to She Knows Soaps, Steffy will encounter something she wishes she hadn't. Whatever she sees she won't be able to unsee. Vague, I know. Could she come across a moment between Hope and Finn? Her rival insists that she won't let anything happen again but she may be protesting a bit too much.

Or, with Steffy telling Finn not to contact her, is she about to come upon the real Il Giardino Killer? This is the perfect scenario to launch a missing person storyline especially since her absence wouldn't be thought of as strange at first since she already said she's leaving.

Time will tell. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote for more coverage and follow us on X!
