There's plenty to watch on Netflix this week, starting with a sci-fi thriller titled The Kitchen. Here's what to keep on your radar for the week of Jan. 15, 2024.

Everyone blinked, and we are already in the middle of January. What is time anymore? Like we do every week, we’re sharing all the best Netflix movies and shows debuting beginning the week of Jan. 15, 2024.

We've already had an incredible stand-up special released with Pete Davidson: Turbo Fonzarelli and a near-perfect TV show in The Brothers Sun, so the streaming giant is already off to a great start with content. That said, the Kevin Hart-led Lift was slightly underwhelming, which was sad because it had a lot of promise. Either way, we've got a loaded slate of new movies and shows to share with you.

Dusty Slay: Workin' Man: Comedian Dusty Slay serves up his distinctive homespun humor on shirt-tucking, hipster coffee shops, and country music mysteries in this stand-up special. (Stream the comedy special on Tuesday, Jan. 16)

The Trust: A Game of Greed: The reality series that pins eleven strangers in a house where they can split a quarter of a million dollars continues with episodes 5-7. This has been one of my favorite reality TV shows to watch recently with the more authentic drama providing so many wild moments. (Stream the episodes on Wednesday, Jan. 17)

Love on the Spectrum season 2: The Emmy winning reality series returns as we follow people on the autism spectrum while they attempt to tackle the world of dating and relationships. The second season features some new faces but also brings back some familiar favorites. (Stream on Friday, Jan. 19)

As for our biggest recommendations for the week...

Izi (Kane Robinson) and Benji (Jedaiah Bannerman) are in a dystopian future in London where social housing has been eliminated. The duo are forced to navigate the world as residents of The Kitchen, a community that refuses to abandon their homes. The Kitchen is the feature film writing and directing debut by Academy Award Winner Daniel Kaluuya. Early reactions to the film have been good, and I can't wait to check it out. (Stream on Friday, Jan. 19)
