Considering the Super Bowl is going to steal attention on Sunday, Feb. 11, it's no surprise that Hallmark Channel won't be airing a new episode of The Way Home season 2 at 9 p.m. ET like we've grown used to. However, that doesn't mean they don't have counter-programming planned.
If you aren't going to tune into the Big Game, you can anticipate a marathon of the first three episodes of season 2 to air! It starts at 7 p.m., so if you need to catch up, now's your time to do so. A lot has happened in the season so far. Kat got shot, Alice actually is able to time travel still, and Del's been dealing with land issues due to her neighbor's farm being bought out. Not to mention, in episode 3, we got an update on Jacob!
The Way Home will return on Feb. 18 with a new episode. "Wake Me Up When September Ends" is an interesting title since the series' second season takes place in the summer. The title comes from the 2004 Green Day track which Billie Joe Armstrong wrote about his father's passing. I would assume that given the inspiration for the song, the show will be exploring the characters' grief over the loss of Colton though the synopsis doesn't mention him directly.
Episode 4 summary: Alice reevaluates the past and her friendship with Elliot, Kat discovers history is told by the winners, Del questions the stories she tells herself.
In the preview for the coming episode, Elliot wants to know what Kat does about Jacob, his teenage self is desperate for information about his and Kat's future from Alice, Kat seemingly reveals to Susannah that she's not from the 1800s, and Alice is put on the spot when she doesn't appear in a photo from the past. Watch the preview, here.
