Trouble in paradise for Bridge? Thorsten Kaye teases changes for the couple on Bold and the Beautiful

Right now on The Bold and the Beautiful, Brooke Logan and Ridge Forrester (Bridge) are riding on a high. The relaunch of Brooke's Bedroom is expected to go swimmingly. Monday, Aug. 5's episode featured a beautiful ad campaign showcasing the new collection and the face of the line to perfection. The couple couldn't be happier in Monaco which is turning into a romantic business trip for two, but we could be heading toward a cooling off period.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Thorsten Kaye spoke to Ridge's support of Brooke and how the Co-CEO wanted a win for his lady love. But he also pointed out that success comes with more responsibilities and that could go hand-and-hand with some adjustments.

"When someone is successful [like Ridge is], and then all of a sudden your wife becomes successful and she needs you to watch the kids, or she needs to you to go to the store or pick up the dry cleaning, it changes the dynamic. So even though it’s something you want for somebody, you’ve got to be prepared for the change that comes with that."

Normally, a statement like this could be taken at face value. However, The Bold and the Beautiful has been teasing a "stunning twist" to the Monaco plot and it looks to be tied to a mystery woman. She made her first appearance on Monday and we've yet to see her face, but there was a line in the promo that ran last week where Ridge was assuring Brooke that she's the love of his life.

This implies that there may be some plotting where his conviction is tested. Feeling put on the backburner as Brooke fulfills her duties and basks in the spotlight could be just the thing that derails Bridge. While I'm not wishing for their downfall, it has been a bit since their relationship was rocked. And, interestingly, they've been engaged for quite some time.

Every now and again we'll get a comment or so about their progress toward the altar. The last was centered on Ridge coming up with designs for Brooke's wedding dress and her deciding she wanted to design it herself. It has seemed strange that the writers have sat on the two exchanging vows again. Two couples have married in the time since they got engaged--Donna & Eric and Sheila & Deacon. Thomas is engaged to Paris. Will those two make it down the aisle before Bridge?

At the rate the soap is going, it's quite possible especially if Ridge's past comes knocking at the door. We'll know more once this mystery woman is introduced and we see first hand how Ridge adjusts to Brooke's schedule being filled. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote and follow us on X!
