Are you ready for more Not Dead Yet? Because I sure am! The Gina Rodriguez-led series returns for a second season after a long hiatus due to the Hollywood strikes. Well, don't worry my friends. TV is back on! Not Dead Yet season 2 premieres tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024. So how can you tune in?
There's two ways to check out the next chapter of Nell's story. You can watch Not Dead Yet season 2 live on ABC, or wait until the next day on Thursday, Feb. 8 to stream on Hulu. Each week, that's the schedule the show will follow. We go into more detail below!
How to watch Not Dead Yet season 2 on TV
As mentioned above, new episodes of Not Dead Yet season 2 will air live Wednesday nights starting at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC. At this time we're not sure how many episodes the season will have. The first was 13 episodes, so Not Dead Yet season 2 could possibly be the same. We'll see! Right now, let's worry about what time to tune in. We shared that info based on where you live below:
Release time by time zone
- Eastern: 8:30 p.m. ET
- Central: 7:30 p.m. CT
- Pacific: 5:30 p.m. PT
- Mountain: 6:30 p.m. MT
Now for ABC. There's multiple ways to access the network. The most obvious of course is through a cable provider. However, there's other platforms as well. Those include FuboTV, DIRECTV, YouTube TV, and Hulu + Live TV. Each of these options have different packages and prices. We shared them all for you below:

Entertainment: $69.99/month

Live TV Only: $75.99/month
Orange: $40/month (does not include ABC) |
How to watch on streaming
Of course you do have the option of opting out of all those platforms. They have a pretty hefty price tag. Whether you'd rather go the streaming route because it's more affordable or you won't be able to tune in to new episodes live, we've got your back!
New episodes of the comedy will be available to stream on Hulu the next day on Thursdays. If you're subscribed to one of the Hulu + Live TV options shared above, then you already have access to the streamer. However if you'd like to just get Hulu, you can do so! We shared them below:
- Hulu (with ads): $7.99/month
- Hulu (no ads): $17.99/month

What to expect in the premiere, and episode schedule
The Not Dead Yet season 2 premiere will see a new series regular. And that's actor Brad Garrett as Duncan Rhodes, aka Lexi's father and owner of the SoCal Independent newspaper! The character has been mentioned quite a bit in the first season, and we know that Lexi doesn't have the greatest relationship with her dad. So it's going to be really interesting to see their dynamic play out.
While by the end of the season 1 finale (find our refresher here!) Lexi realized she needs to be kinder to her friends, I don't know if that's going to stick when it comes to Nell. Why? Based on the season 2 episode 1 synopsis, Nell may be getting the attention from Lexi's father that she craves. We shared the description below:
"“Not Owning It Yet” – Lexi’s father and owner of the SoCal Independent, Duncan Rhodes, comes into the office and forms a bond with Nell, much to his daughter’s dismay. "
Deadline shares that Duncan is "a total master of the universe," spewing confidence and charisma. Though he's "out of touch with how normal people live," and doesn't realize that. According to the outlet, no one is brave enough to tell him so or that he's not the best dad. That is until he meets Nell. Ooh, interesting! Well, if they form a bond, perhaps that means Duncan will actually start listening to someone else other than himself. We'll see!
Plus, we can look forward to a Superstore reunion! The 2015 comedy series starred Lauren Ash, who plays Lexi on Not Dead Yet, and Nico Santos. The actor is set to guest star in the first episode of the ABC series as one of Nell's ghosts, Teddy. So while Ash and Santos probably won't interact onscreen, at least they were together behind-the-scenes. And that's definitely exciting and what we love to see!
Episode schedule
We don't have the full episode schedule for the season just yet. Many of you broadcast fans know that networks will tend to skip one week here and there at times throughout a season's run.
