Abbott Elementary, ABC's hit comedy (and sole comedic offering for Fall 2024), has kept us laughing since it made its debut 2021. Each season has gotten better and better, with season 3 giving us even more insight into the home lives of the teachers we've come to know and love. Of course, we can't wait for the award-winning series to make its return for more misadventures at Abbott but with that also comes excitement over who might guest star in season 4.

The show's junior run opened with cameos from Philadelphia Eagles' players Jalen Hurts, Jason Kelce (now retired), and Brandon Graham. Season 3 also boasted appearances by internet comedy sensations like Sabrina Brier and six time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper.

While any upcoming cameos are sure to be kept under wraps, there is one we have our fingers crossed for and it'd be a dream appearance not just for us but creator Quinta Brunson as well. We're talking about Jennifer Aniston and the icon making a cameo isn't out of the realm of possibility. In fact, she threw a bid out to guest star on the comedy to Brunson directly.

In an Actor on Actor interview for Variety, the actresses had the opportunity to discuss their current projects--Abbott Elementary for Brunson and The Morning Show for Aniston. They also spoke about comedy, the truth in the storytelling for the genre and the chemistry that transforms castmates into family. Aniston knows this well due to her time on Friends (which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year!). Brunson shared that she learned about the beauty of an ensemble cast from the program that made Aniston a household name.

But admiration went both ways throughout the interview, with Aniston telling Brunson that she now has the title of comedy queen. She also said the following about Abbott Elementary: "Watching your show, I feel so comforted. There’s something about it that just feels safe and cozy."

Aniston's words on the comedy are familiar to all of us who've tuned into the lovingly crafted and smartly hilarious program. It's warmed the hearts of so many that have found comfort in the half hour episodes that often shows the characters growing into themselves and figuring out how to best put their foot forward for what they need in life. So it's no wonder that Aniston wants to be part of that magic as well.

Before her sit down with Brunson wrapped, she asked if she could be on the show, saying, "And while we’re here, I’m going to put my hat in the ring like all the other actors do, because if Bradley Cooper can do it … If you find a moment on “Abbott” that you can see for this one, I’d love to come play with you."

Brunson's response was, "Ok!" so the halls of Abbott Elementary will likely be graced by Jennifer Aniston's presence at some point during its run. It may not be in season 4, but whenever she does cameo, we're sure it'll be a moment none of us want to miss.
