Suits: LA is bringing in a few faces from the original series, and there are more characters fans would love to see!
Suits: LA has been a notable debut on NBC. The long-awaited spinoff to the hit USA Network series focuses on Ted Black (Stephen Amell), a former prosecutor turned entertainment lawyer. The pilot has Ted rocked when his longtime friend and partner Stuart Lane stabs him in the back on a merger to try and take his firm away.
The show is going to get a big boost as Gabriel Macht will be reprising his role as Harvey Specter. It’s now confirmed that Rick Hoffman will also appear as Louis Litt. That paves the way for other Suits characters to show up who might work out well. From big names to recurring characters, these are the eight Suits actors who would make Suits: LA even better with a guest star turn!

Mike Ross
It is an obvious pick, as the heart of Suits was always the banter between Harvey and Mike. Seeing their friendship grow over the series was terrific and the show was never quite the same after Patrick J. Adams left. Having Mike pop up in L.A. would be good as he can be making his own career as a lawyer and maybe clash with Ted or Rick in court.
Obviously, Meghan Markle’s Rachel wouldn’t be back, but at least some mentions of her and Mike’s marriage would be good (perhaps they’ve finally started a family). Either way, if Suits: LA needs any big original star appearance, Mike is it.

Donna Paulsen
Another obvious pick as you can’t have Harvey without his life partner. Sarah Rafferty could kill it as Donna waltzes into the L.A. office with her usual sass and humor and aids Harvey in whatever case he’s working on. We can get an update on their marriage and Donna would easily put Ted in his place on whatever problems he’s having.
It’d also be fun to see Donna interact with the female characters like Erica and give Leah tips on how to handle the life of an assistant at a top firm. Plus, seeing Rafferty rocking those outstanding outfits would alone make Donna’s return on Suits LA a major moment for fans.

Jessica Pearson
The last time we saw Jessica Pearson was in her short-lived (and frankly awful) USA Network spinoff. That was a harder Jessica, who was more a poor woman’s Olivia Pope, not the savvy lawyer we know and love. With 911: Lone Star ending, Gina Torres is now free for Jessica to once more be a top face on Suits.
Having her stroll into a case as a surprise opponent makes total sense and would be a great showcase for Torres. She always loved playing Jessica, and thus, a return as the character would be up her alley. It can also redeem Jessica from that bad spinoff as the tough lawyer we remember.

Samantha Wheeler
One of the big additions to the Suits final seasons was Emmy winner Katherine Heigl as Samantha Wheeler. Heigl slipped into the role well as Samantha wasn’t a fan of Harvey at first but grew to respect him. She was also tenacious in court, and her work paid off, becoming a name partner in the series finale.
Heigl would be a great guest star for Suits LA as she still has Grey’s Anatomy fans following her who would check out the show. She’d have good clashes with Ted and her and Maggie Grace’s Amanda going at it would be a fantastic showdown. Heigl herself might be open to reprising one of her more underrated roles so that Samantha can be a surprisingly good appearance for Suits LA.

Dana “Scottie” Scott
One of the show’s best recurring characters, the feisty Scottie was Harvey’s on/off girlfriend and frequent courtroom rival. Abigail Spencer was a delight in the role with her amazing chemistry with Harvey and killer outfits while also killing it in court. Given her status as a top freelance attorney, it’s logical Scottie is hired for a case in L.A.
She might see Ted as more of a challenge, some flirtation while also taking him unawares with her moves. The idea that they hook up is out there, yet it might be better just to have mutual respect over their legal work. Scottie was always a highlight on Suits and could easily replicate that on the spinoff.

Travis Tanner
Described as “an evil Harvey,” Travis Tanner was a former classmate who would often clash with Harvey in court. Eric Close had a nice charm in the role which made his underhanded moves more striking. Interestingly, his last case had Travis acting honestly, but Harvey’s experience with the guy clouded his judgment.
Tanner would be a fun presence in L.A., working with a new firm and going against Ted in court. As a former prosecutor, Ted might be more prepared to take on Tanner and challenge him in a way Harvey couldn’t. A sneaky lawyer fits the spinoff and Tanner was always good at that.

Harold Gunderson
This is more an offbeat choice but could be fun. Harold Gunderson was a recurring character from the start of Suits, who had to put up with Louis running him down. Despite his nervous and socially awkward nature, Harold did improve as an attorney with Max Topplin making the character loveable.
A Harold appearance on the spinoff might be interesting. Maybe he’s become smart to play up looking bungling so opposing lawyers underestimate him. Ted can fall for the act only to realize how sharp Harold is, and it would be great to see Harold prove himself as an attorney.

Daniel Hardman
The biggest villain of Suits, David Costabile was stellar as Daniel Hardman, the original firm founder. He’d been forced out when they discovered he was embezzling money to support a mistress. Hardman returned to pull a coup and take the firm back, only to be beaten. But he kept returning as a constant thorn in the sides of Harvey, Mike and the rest.
When last seen, Hardman’s numerous sneaky moves finally caught up to him as he was facing some punishment. But Suits fans know this cockroach keeps coming back and a move to L.A. would fit him. Maybe he tries a “partnership” with Ted that’s really a trick to try and take that firm over. Seeing Hardman on Suits can be a fine reminder of how he’s a character fans love to hate.
Suits: LA airs Sundays at 9/8c on NBC.
