Just because we’re in the middle of December doesn’t mean that there’s nothing on. Broadcast TV has a packed schedule tonight, Thursday, Dec. 12.

The question is what you want to watch tonight. Are you interested in a night of comedy and drama, or would you like some holiday content? What about a music awards show? The networks have you covered with absolutely everything tonight.

Matlock, Billboard Music Awards 2024, and more

Let’s start with FOX, which is now into its holiday content for the majority of nights. However, tonight is all about the Billboard Music Awards 2024. Michelle Buteau will host the event this year, and it’s time to see which artists will be crowned the winners.

If you’re more in the mood for comedy, there is a new episode of Ghosts tonight. This one sees a belated wedding gift turn up for Isaac and Nigel, which is sure to be awkward. The gift is a dinosaur bed, which is just downright adorable, but it’s not something that can be split between them.

CBS is packed with new episodes of its normal shows tonight. One important one to note is Matlock, which is airing its winter finale tonight. The episode will see Matty learn that Senior was in Mexico at the time that he supposedly sign the forms. That means his signature was forged, and that puts the Kingstons back at square one in the hint of the person responsible for their daughter’s death.

If you’re looking for something for the whole family, then you’ll need to turn to NBC tonight. There’s another showing of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer tonight. This is a cute, animated story about the infamous reindeer that the kids love to watch year after year.
