‘Shadowhunter’s Simon Lewis is the definition of vampire best friend goals.

Despite the fact that he no longer eats solid meals, Simon Lewis has a lot on his plate. In Season 1, he was an aspiring musician, thrown into the Shadow World because of his best friend Clary Fray. His loyalty and charm led to his kidnapping, where he was taken and bitten by vampires, causing Clary to turn him into a vamp himself, clawing up out of his own grave.

Simon’s sense of humor (brought out mostly by nerves), quirky personality, and charm had fans falling hard for the vamp last year, and Season 2 has given us more reasons to love the adorable Downworlder!

1) He Has Infamous, Witty One-Liners

When Simon gets nervous (which we imagine would be a standard feeling among anyone brought back from the dead as a vampire), his sense of wit spikes off the charts. As a result, when Simon’s put in challenging situations, both physically and emotionally, we’re treated to some hilarious one-liners and clever zingers.

He’s a hospitable host to all (un)welcome guests:

"“Raphael! Amigo, can I get you a pint of O-neg?”"

He also knows how to get Magnus’ help in a sticky situation:

"“Can you take a break from your day job and help a vamp out?”"

Simon’s seems to be in search of “The Downworlder’s Guide To The Galaxy,” particularly when it comes to portaling and helping Clary on her journey to become a Shadowhunter:

"“Is there like a YouTube tutorial I can watch?” “You’d think there be some kind of handbook for the Shadow World like ‘Shadowhunting: For Dummies?’”"

And when Clary suggested that Simon tell his mother about his new vampire status, he had the ultimate response:

"“Come out of the coffin?!”"

But he’s not above throwing some light shade Clary’s way either. After a simple trick got them  both locked in the boathouse, he offered some friendly advice:

"“First rule of shadowhunting: don’t give anyone your phone or stele.”"
