All the Easter Eggs in ‘Legends of Tomorrow’s’ Doomworld

Here’s a rundown of all the fun Easter eggs that were snuck into “Doomworld,” the penultimate episode of the second season of ‘Legends of Tomorrow.’

Last night’s Legends of Tomorrow’s new episode, “Doomworld,” gave fans a lot to unpack. Having unlocked the powers of the Spear of Destiny last week, the Legion of Doom radically altered the world. In the new reality, the Legion are the world’s elite and the Arrowverse’s heroes have all been killed or made to forget their identities. Thanks to Rory (Dominic Purcell), the Legends got their memories of the old world back and resolved to confront the Legion.

Unsurprisingly, the season’s penultimate episode didn’t end with the Legends triumphant. Instead, Thawne (Matt Letscher) locked in the new world by destroying the Spear. Adding insult to injury, Snart (Wentworth Miller) broke the team’s spirit by brutally killing Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers). All hope wasn’t lost though; “Doomworld” ended with Rip (Arthur Darvill), trapped in a miniaturized Waverider vowing to save the world.

Because it was filled with so many shocking moments, fans may have overlooked some of the altered reality’s nuances. The episode featured many fun references to DC Comics canon, a previous Arrowverse crossover, and some sly political commentary.
