After the season finale of ‘2 Broke Girls,’ Max and Caroline don’t have a dollar to their name, but one of the girls gets engaged. Who’s headed down the aisle?

More from CBS

It’s the moment Caroline has been waiting for since the day 2 Broke Girls began: The premiere of the movie based on her life. So it’s called The Princess and the Ponzi and receives exit reviews with words like “snoozer.” She’s on the big screen and getting styled by the dreamy Brad Goreski. It’s her day, and she’ll milk her moment for all it’s worth. But step aside, Caroline Channing. Your moment has been surpassed.

If you bet money that Max Black would end up getting married, then you’re probably collecting quite a few dollars from the naysayers. (And, hey, give the girls your loot. They’re 10K in the pocket after Caroline ruined her designer dress.) 2 Broke Girls never gave any indication that Max would end up sporting a diamond ring or even enjoy taking part in a ceremonial occasion as basic as an engagement. But when Randy resurfaces to fight for Max at the movie premiere, it’s the one-knee moment Max never knew she wanted. How did the big engagement happen and how did the girls lose 10K? Let’s break down the Season 6 finale with the five best one-liners!

1. “First time there’s been a better rack than mine in the apartment.”

While Max and Caroline sit for an interview about the movie, Caroline announces that they intend to “phase out” the diner. With her life story on the big screen and her business on the rise, those ketchup and mustard uniforms aren’t a good look. Max and Caroline’s careers are on the up and up, and that includes being styled by fashion police officer Brad Goreski.

2. “The only baby I style is Kanye West.”

Of course, Sophie takes advantage of every avenue she can to tout baby Barbara. She asks Brad to style Barbara in order to catch the eye of producers at the premiere, but he keeps his client list tight. (Let’s hope Kanye doesn’t catch wind of this dig or he’ll say he made 2 Broke Girls famous in his next verse.)

3. “That was Tilda Swinton, and I apologized.”

Max doesn’t take the movie premiere seriously, as evident by eating ribs in the limo and getting into a scuffle with Tilda Swinton. Caroline can’t keep her cool, poking and prodding at Bobby and putting too much pressure on an indoor premiere. But once Max bumps into Randy, she’s off running to the dessert bar and missing Caroline’s literal unraveling.

4. “She never says something’s an emergency. She came to work with a knife in her head!”

Caroline’s dress get caught on Bobby’s jacket, causing the fabric to twirl into nothing as he walks down the red carpet. The photographers snap her in her undergarments, a humiliation that’s all too ironic at the premiere of the movie based on the implosion of her life and fortune. Girl can’t catch a break. Now she’s out 10 thousand dollars, their entire savings, forcing Caroline to strike a deal with “flush with cash” Han to work at the diner. Max sends her an SOS text. What’s the emergency?

5. “I licked it, and it’s not candy!”

Max George Black is engaged! Randy’s firm relocated to New York and he’s moving back to the East Coast to be with Max. It only took the whole season to realize that this was the solution. But it’s not smooth sailing for Max and Caroline as Randy and Bobby hate each other ever since Randy’s firm tossed Bobby’s sister’s reality show. They fight outside, but the two broke-as-a-joke girls are too excited about Max’s ring to notice. How will Max and Caroline proceed with their mostly harmonious existence when their significant others don’t get along? Here’s to Season 7!
