In Season 2, Episode 7, Jace returned to Hunter’s Moon and flirted with several Seelies in front of Maia (and everyone in the bar).
He ordered shots for himself and the girls, but he had to talk with Maia to do so. Of course they bantered back and forth, and Jace even asked Maia if it was time for them to “kiss and make up.” She threw him shade, saying that she had spit in one of the shots that she served him.
Later in the same episode, Jace comically tried to help Simon get a girl’s phone number. Of course, Maia heard the whole thing from the other end of the bar, but her interest was obviously with Simon, not Jace.
In Season 2, Episode 8, Jace and Maia meet again during Max’s rune party (always talking at a bar…) and Maia immediately calls him out as being cocky before Jace even gets the chance to say hello. The banter continues and she reminds him (as she should) of how she’s kicked his ass before, but she does admit that she’s happy she didn’t “maul him to death.” Maia tells him that she was wrong and Jace isn’t sure how to respond, reminding her that he just wanted a beer. He doesn’t get his beer though because beer is “boring” by Maia’s standards, and she hands him sangria instead. Watch the scene below:
Things don’t remain civil for too long though once Maia learns that the Soul-Sword could potentially be activated:
