Ranking Tom Holland’s ‘Lip Sync Battle’ performance

Tom Holland may be the new Spider-Man, but he’s more than a talented actor.  Apparently, he’s also very good at Lip Sync Battling.

Tom Holland’s performance on Lip Sync Battle (LSB) has quickly become one of the more jaw-dropping performances in LSB history.  He surprised many with his song choice, outfit, and presentation. The same dance and gymnastics background that helped him win the role as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man also aided him on the LSB stage.

In order to deliver a truly epic performance, multiple factors come into play.  First, song choice is key.  Pick an obscure song and the audience is lost.  Second, mimicking the original video, particularly an iconic one, holds a lot of weight.  Finally, commitment to the role and performance is absolutely critical.

Where does he rank?  Is his performance the best the series has ever seen?  His contribution needs to be measured versus the other great performances.  With this in mind, here are my top five LSB performances.
